Samantha Krall is the owner, operator, and head instructor of Dewalt Stables. A graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a background in marketing, Samantha has built her career around one thing: instructing, coaching, and training horses and riders for success.

In 2022, Samantha founded the Dewalt Equestrian Team, an IEA program created to give young riders throughout Indiana County and the surrounding area access to competitive and educational riding opportunities that didn't exist locally before. The team has grown into a strong regional presence, regularly sending riders to Zone 11 competition and beyond.

Samantha's coaching extends past the barn gate — she also serves as head coach of the Indiana University of Pennsylvania Equestrian Team, competing in the Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association (IHSA). It's a natural extension of what she's built at Dewalt: a real pipeline for riders who want to keep competing after high school.

ABOUT US

Our Story

Dewalt Stables is based out of Sergent Stables North in Indiana, Pennsylvania, and has grown from a lesson barn into a full hunter/jumper program spanning private instruction, structured training, competitive showing, and two scholastic/collegiate team programs.

Two of our founding Dewalt Equestrian Team riders — with the team since its very first season in 2022 — went on to attend Hollins University and Indiana University of Pennsylvania with plans to continue riding through IHSA, a milestone that speaks to what this program is really about.

Our Philosophy

We believe good horsemanship starts long before a rider's first jump. Every lesson, every training ride, and every show trip at Dewalt Stables is built on fundamentals — a secure seat, quiet hands, and a genuine understanding of the horse underneath you. From there, we build toward whatever "success" looks like for that rider: a confident hack around the property, a clean round at a local show, or a spot on a college roster.
